My apologies. Your initial post was rather ambiguous as to your affiliation. Are you now saying that Easy Root isn't stolen code, and/or that the final release of DMUpdater will damage phones/SD card/etc.? I'm just confused here, because his post -- aside from the Easy Root part -- jives exactly with what that post said.

I do agree he should release the source. This isn't exactly Washington Post Watergate stuff.

Yes sgx is one of the DroidMod team. All I have is some hunches which I'll keep to myself, but I did shoot an email to camel yesterday and the last part of his reply was he "hasn't bothered to check, cause it doesn't really matter."

Huskr hit on a very good point in a thread in the RS as to why people are having such trouble with EasyRoot. It's because they're using it wrong as they don't understand everything 'root' and what else that needs to be done in the proper order.
