About LinkBacksAlright, so when 2.1 first came out i got the notification and follwed the DroidMod teams advice of choosing to install the update and let droid mod abort the installation like its supposed to. Long story short, about 10 mins ago i just recieved the 2.1 ota notification again. I chose to install. Phone rebooted and attempted to install the update and then droidmod blocked it like its supposed to.
Has anyone else got double notifications after following the droidmod teams advice regarding 2.1 ota? Im curious to see if this keeps happening. Damn verizon nazi's just wanna force me to get rid of my root.

04-29-2010 02:16 PMGot the update this afternoon at about 2 PM CT for the first time since I declined it at the 2.1 launch. Did the same thing as last time. No idea why it happened either.

04-29-2010 08:23 PMI got the second notification today. Downloaded and installed, blocked by sprecovery. Now says system up to date. I wonder how vzw figured out that I wasn't really updated.

it doesnt appear to be the same update as the original 2.1 ota. its named differently.
