    any low voltage kernels available?

I like the idea of the low voltage kernels available for the 2.1 ROMs. In particular something with 5 or 7 slots so I can drop the low end way down to conserve battery power. Are there any out there that work well with DroidMod/2.0.1 based ROMs? Id like to keep (or I suppose improve) all other functionality without losing the wifi tether or anything else.

I'm pretty sure that all lv kernels out right now will work with DM. I've used pretty much all of them and I've found on my droid Chevy's kernels run the coolest. Frind one and give it a shot.

It was said that Chevy's kernel works w/ 2.1 based roms. DM is 2.0.1 and will get stuck on the "M" loop when booting up.

Exactly, I can't find one to work on the 2.0.1 based DroidMod.

Hey bud, I talked to chevy earlier today and asked him about a 2.0.1 kernel and he gave me this. Its a nandroid file so download it extract it and put the resulting folder into your nandroid folder. Reboot to recovery and choose it as your restore and you should be in business! Hope this helps

If it doesn't work, is switching back to the previous kernel as simple as doing a Nandroid Restore or do you have to find another kernel?

Re: any low voltage kernels available?

I have found after a lot of reading that Chevy1's low voltage kernals do not work for my Droid, but does work for other people. it causes my Droid to reboot upon reaching the home screen where I had to slider to unlock. Usually rebooted before I could finish sliding half way.

I loaded medium voltage and it works. I had overheating issues today but I think it had to do with this Alabama weather, as its cool and nightime now and running even better at 1000mhz when it was having big trouble at 800mhz in jthe heat of the day outside.

    gotta be careful.

yeah I think yo have to find the combination that works good for your droid. I am running Chevys LV 5 slot 1 ghz kernel. Runs smooth and clean, but the highest I o/c is 800 anyway.
