    Busybox installed before Droid Mod

I installed busybox before installing the DroidMod ROM, but after rooting. Would the droidmod have erased that? Do I need to reinstall busybox? I read it's good to have, but what exactly is it, what does it do, and how do I use it? How can I check to see if it is installed?

There should be a file called busybox and one called cp in your /system/bin (or sometimes /system/xbin).

I don't really know how to describe what it does so I'll just link you to wiki:

BusyBox - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Thanks... do you reccomend any program to browse the phones files directly from the phone? I dont see on Astro or ES how to browse anything except the SD card.

Also, seeing as you are such a wealth of knowledge. Do you know if there is anything safe to delete after doing the Droid Mod update, busybox and rooting, on the SD card, to clear space?

Edit: I see how to do it on ES now, just not Astro.

I use Root Explorer from the Market, best hands down imo.

As for removing stuff...yeah you can remove stuff. Just have to be careful what you remove. You can remove the stock email app, stock messaging, the dock apps, corpcal, livewallpapers, etc.

Oh, I mean removing stuff from the SD card that was used in the installing of busybox/droidmod/etc.

Oh, busybox is less than a megabyte. And it installs on the system not the SD card.

I just recall copying stuff to the SD card for installs for the ROM, Busbox, wifi tether, the backup tool, etc. Maybe not all of those things, but some of them. Not sure what files are safe to delete. I did find BusyBox in the System/Xbin folder.

You can delete any update.zip, flash_image, etc that you put on the root of the SD card.

I have a bunch of .vcf, .sw, .bak, .temp, .store and .ko files in the root of the SD card. Im guessing I should leave the .bak backup files, but Im not sure what the rest are.

Also do you know where the nandroid backups are kept, how many files they are, and how large they are?
