Questions about DM and 2.1 update

Before you tell me there are other 2.1 update threads...I know, I've been reading them looking for an answer to this question. I finally got the courage to root with DM due to the ease so I'm running DM with HelixLauncher and everything is running very smooth. It's awesome! I've had a couple issues with the phone just locking up and needing a battery pull, but i think i have a couple apps that aren't playing nicely in the sandbox. I'll sort that out later...

Enough of the background - on to the question...
What happens when or if they push out the OTA update? Does DM ignore it? Does it accept it? Can I do anythig to prevent it or stop it?

You will not get the OTA update unless you revert to stock. SPRecovery blocks the files necessary for OTA updates to happen.

If you want OTA, then you'll have to revert to stock.

You say you have ready the other threads? if so the question has been answered several times... sprecovery blocks the updates. (yes droidmod has sprecovery)

Wow...You guys are quick!
In reading the other threads, I found some conflicting information - some said it blocks it, others said you have to physically change the name of a file to keep it from being installed. Being new to root I was confused as to what I had to do. Thank you...I'll stop worrying about it.

I JUST rooted droidmod on my phone.....AWESOME!!!!!IEEE why ppl love this rom. Awesome job guys. My first root experience was an awesome one. I'll keep this on my Droid until I hear when the 2.1 update is REALLY rolling out.... And then the fine devs at droidmod will make another kick@$$ rom based on that build.

I have did the down load of the droidmod and i don't have the live wallpapers.i have the 2.0.1 and i download the update. i have everything but the live wallpapers. help what did i do wrong ?????

Can someone post the file for the 2.1 launcher? I noticed that the Guy on you tube put it on AFTER he put dmupdater in. Thanks in advance.

EDIT: oh yeah I forgot the helix 2 doesn't work on 2.0.1 lol sorry!!

But you should be able to use plain old Helix Launcher with DroidMod.

The interesting thing is that while "upper management" is trying to figure out how to roll out the 2.1 update to their customer base that 2.1 code has leaked out into the wild. When you see folks talking about 2.1 roms they are talking about builds created on the software that has not been released over the OTA yet but was leaked to individuals. All indications are that what will be released automatically over the air to stock phones is exactly what some folks are putting on their phones already themselves.
