So i followed this method to add root to my brothers stock droid (did the same thing to my droid back when it had 2.1). I downloaded all the files from the op, followed all the steps.
I follow the steps exactly, including holding up on dpad after the sbf finishes flashing so i get the 'PASS' message in RSD Lite. Once that is flashed i press power to turn off the phone from the bootloader. Then I press x and power and get into sprecovery. I made a backup, then rebooted first just to make sure the backup would be there. Then when I rebooted to get into recovery to apply the update.zip, it went to the stock recovery.
For some reason, sprecovery won't stick. The sbf is flashed correctly, but once the phone is rebooted, the recovery goes back to stock. If i go straight to recovery after flashing the sbf from the bootloader, it is sprecovery. After a reboot, it is stock. Anybody know why??
Edit: Oh, maybe i should mention this. When he had frg01b, he rooted using easy root. So when he updated to 22d, he lost root, but the easy root app was still there. So before i used this method, i just uninstalled easy root.
