After you rooted was everything working?
if it was you may have to reflash the rom.

I've had it for a few months now, but have done nothing other than download a few apps from the market. Thanks for the write up and easy to follow directions on how to root. I did this last night with no poblems at all. Now I look forward to seeing what can really be done with this phone.

Thanks MC! This is a great way to root -- I just dusted off my D1 with stock FRG22D on it, and this method worked perfectly. It's safer than other methods, and quicker.
I had a Droid 1 w/Bugless Beast v0.4 + NexTheme and LOVED it. THEN, I got a D2, and had it for about a month, and finally called Verizon tonight to get them to re-activate my original Droid.
Fact: I missed my Droid. But not anymore!!
