I've read a few previous posts on this thread from former easyroot customers that lost root access due to the FRG22D OTA, but regained root by following the directions in this thread. Did anyone of you experience any issues since the thread clearly states you need to start with an unrooted phone? Did you do anything different from the instructions for this same reason? I would like some foresight before going through the steps to return root access to my Droid 1.

to the forum!
No, no problems or deviance whatsoever. It'll just replace busybox and SU permissions with the latest version.
The other thing that changed is I now understand a whole lot more of what I'm doing than I did before!
I do have another question. Whenever the next OTA comes out, say 3.0 - Gingerbread. How do you do the update since the OTA is essential disabled during the rooting process? Would you need a custom ROM?
"D" came out and blew my root so I tried these instructions... Worked perfectly the first time. Thank you!!!! I do prefer the little soldier icon for super user access instead of the droid and crossbones... Not that I'm complaining
ok I think I did this right but every time O go into recovery I get this clockwork mod recovery thing and not the one with the android. Is there a way to unroot my droid and start over?
