Prepare yourself for the possibility you have a bricked phone.
First, do you have anyone you can borrow a battery from or use their phone to charge yours?

Actually yes! My roommate has a droid as well Ill just wait until he gets home and hopefully whats happening is that its not allowing my battery to charge at all. If I bricked it oh well im up for a upgrade and will just get the droid x and then be more careful with the cords next time
Yeah, when you flash any SBF on any phone that cable is life.
Does your roommate have an external charger, by any chance?![]()
Now its getting wierd. I was able to borrow his battery so I sent the sbf file to the phone I caught it before it rebooted I then installed the rom and it still says no battery shuts off spontanously. I did everything to the tee
What ROM did you flash? Because that sounds EXACTLY like the issue everyone who used the 2.1 SPRecovery SBF has had. AKA a 2.1 kernel on a 2.2 install or vice versa.
I used the rom from the link in this thread is there a fix for this?
Yes. Somehow you used the wrong SBF and you got a 2.1 kernel on your 2.2 installation. You have two choices -- flash a 2.2 kernel or flash whatever ROM you wanted to put on your phone, complete with wipes and everything.
To save time, here's a kernel for you to flash. Update.zip install, just like the rooting update.zip you flashed.
FYI, that wasn't a ROM you flashed, simply the root files and fix for the bootloader.
http://www.p3designs.info/kernels/125-800-v32kernel.zip Rename update.zip, place on the root of your SD card, and flash in SPRecovery.
Thank you! Youve been very kind to a noob I just learned about rooting literally yesterday when a friend showed me what he could do with his droid. I bought easy root and still have no idea what im doing Ill start reading more. I just have two more question where can I look for roms for my droid and when I start my droid it says "Process system is not responding" Is that normal? Also thanks again.
