On Wednesday I upgraded from CM7RC2 to CM7RC4. Recommendations on the CM forums were to enable compcache, but I wanted to overclock, so I tried one of Prime's kernels (Deprimed) for the first time. So far, wow! Took me until today to read every post on this thread (if you haven't and you are new I recommend this).
I have a few questions, but here's where I am so far. Running the latest Deprimed with the Primed script. Finding that 900 is plenty fast, and I was getting reboots at 1200 anyway. I've only used OnDemand governor thus far. I've been running SetCPU for a long time, but today I adjusted the profiles a bit. Now because of posts I'm considering dropping SetCPU. I know if I plan to stay at 900 I can drop MSOC (don't need it even if I want to change). Before I switch I want to see how my profile adjustments affect battery life.
That brings me to my main question. I have NEVER had battery life approaching 10 hrs unless I ignore the phone completely. So what do you guys do? I usually run all day with BT off, but wifi and GPS on. Lots of apps running in background, many are frequently checking for updates.
I will leave it there for now, I'm sure I will have more questions soon. Awesome work, Prime, will be hitting the donation link today.
