Exchange Server has returned some status errors

HTC Incredible syncing email and contacts just fine but calendar is taking an unusually long time to sync, it eventually times out with the following... Exchange Server has returned some status errors.

So my questions are...

1. Where are these errors logged (Not on the exchange server's event logs, I looked but didn't see any) on the phone.

2. If activesync is the issue why do email and contacts sync just fine but not Calendar.

(Warning - going to vent here skip if not interested).
Deleting and re-adding exchange account is a work around and not a viable solution. I have seen too much of this in this and other forums. I understand that is the quickest and easiest solution (not easy when it's the boss's boss phone, in other words the owner of the company) for some people and all you want to do is get it fixed. However, root cause is not something difficult to acertain and distribute to users. If HTC and other manufacturers as well were to just own up/man up and say "hey we didn't do such a good job with this" users wouldn't get half as frustrated and switch to other hardware/software. And users, if we would just demand that we get an answer and wait for it (although patience runs thin) we would get final satisfaction and subsequently demand better products and service and get it, or else. Remember MCI - bye bye. I am not talking about switching, I am talking about getting inferior manufacturers out of the market and raising the quality of what we recieve.
(OK I am off my soap box, I know I am preaching to the mormon tabrinacle).

I do have an open issue with HTC, have escalated to level 2 and they report to me that they have 10 days to answer this issue. (WOW, wish I could get away that crap). I will post updates as I get it. Again I am not the owner of this phone, I just get the chance to excel.

Did you ever receive an update to this issue ? i had a user with the same problem on Exchange 2003 and I just told him to delete and re-add but it seems to have fixed it for now.

From a Verizon discussion list I learned to go to Menu > Settings > Applications > Manage Applications. Then, for each of the Calendar applications, select the Clear Data. When you've done that for each of them, your calendar will be empty. Return to Menu > Settings Accounts & sync > Exchange ActiveSync and select Sync now. The calendar will be reloaded from Exchange and the error should be gone. Communications should now work both ways as well.

Will this fix it long term? I don't know but it's working for me again, finally. Easy to do without having to reset the whole phone (yikes!!).

Thank you so much for posting that. I have been having problems with this for days now, and when I went to Verizon they told me they just provide me with phone service and the rest is up to me! How frustrating. They did suggest that I reset my entire phone, wiping out everything that's there and reloading it. I was dreading that...you saved me!

I wish the Verizon folks would read these forums!

The above fix seems to work long term - I used it over a year ago and haven't had the problem since. Now, I've got an HTC Aria running Froyo (Android 2.2 via Liberated ROM) so your results may vary but so far so good!
