    How lower/mute dial pad volume

    There are only two volume settings I want for my dial pad: either barely audible or mute. The only way I've found to approximate this is to mute the phone's ring tone altogether (or to put in vibrate mode), which is not ideal.

    Is there a way to set the the dial pad volume without affecting the phone's ring tone?

    Under settings go to the sound settings and uncheck the box that says audible touch tones.

    On my droid I can mute the dialpad sounds by going to phone settings > sound & display, and unchecking Audible touch tones

    Does that help?
