07-19-2010 11:03 AMYou need to go to settings and turn off the original message settings......settings ....sound.....notification.....that will take care of that. Then pull up handcent and go to settings and set it how you want. Hope this helps.

Go in the settings and uncheck "Notifications" -

07-19-2010 11:05 AMI will try it, but I want to use the handscent as my default messenger because the regular messenger doesn't allow me to send ringtones to my son. but when i get text messages it comes up from handscent and the regular messaging system..
