    replacement Incredibles

I had pre-ordered my Incredible and received it in April. I am now on my 2nd cert like new replacement. !st issue is that it is bull**** that you get a cert like new(refurbed?) replacement. My original one day just got stuck in a weird reboot mode like it wanted to reboot but would fully do it. I brought it into A Verizon store.
They looked at it and couldnt get it to turn on fully. After several battery pulls they ordered the 1st replacement. That only lasted 2 weeks and then wouldnt turn off or do anything for that matter. It was just stuck on the home screen. Now I have the 2nd replacement and this one is working for the time being.
Wouldnt you think that they would give you a new replacement being that the damn phone has only been out for 3 months. Has anyone else heard of these phones having issues??

I was a tech for Verizon, and this argument is so stupid. People argue that they want a new replacement because they are afraid a CLNR will have issues. Hello, the original, "new" phone you've had for less than 3 months had issues. Wouldn't you rather get a phone that has been put through more tests than a new one and has been rebuilt from working parts and covered with new cosmetics?

The Env3 is a perfect example. Right from LG, brand-new, they were absolute crap. The CLNR's (in the later batches) fixed the issue, while the new models still had issues.

That is called "Not meant to be". I would go with a different phone. Even if you do get one that works perfectly your mindset about it will tell you that something is wrong even it isn't. I sure wouldn't put up with that.

If that is the case then why did the 1st replacement fail after 2 weeks being rebuilt from different new parts and being put through a multitude of testing. Makes me worried and waiting for the 2nd one to fail.

that is not a factor!! Please, reader comprehension should be a factor if one responds to threads. If was clearly explained as to how both phones malfunctioned. Even other so called techs, such as yourself, couldnt understand why both phones were acting as they were.
User error would not make a phone act in limbo between shut off and reboot and then 2nd phone be in a frozen state. As a matter of fact each phone had not been touched for hours as both times I was golfing.
Living in Florida I thought maybe the intense heat and humidity might have affected the phones due to being in my vehicle for 4 hours each time.

LOL. Aka "User error." Don't leave electronics in intense heat, it's in the manual. You're right, reader comprehension should be a factor in posting in threads. Have a nice day and keep blaming HTC and Verizon for your stupidity.

Getting upset will not solve the problem.

Dude I would never leave my Incredible in the heat for that long. I always carry it with me to prevent it from overheating and frying something. The parts in the phone are extremely small so it doesn't take much to fry them. I'm not saying that's what it was but I know it didn't help anything.

only Scoder KNOWS this is what it is. This phone isnt useable if It cant be left in your glove compartment or in your golf bag when you play golf then there is something wrong. I wouldnt listen to scoder( techs are just people who read out of manuals). No other phone from my blackberries on ever had an issue. This isnt my 1st smartphone.
