DINC 2.3.4, erroneous input

This update has done something to my phone. Something has changed with the optical joystick, HTC Sense and the touch screen.???????? Somehow, erroneous input is causing the phone to constantly change/lockup the screen. I can put it down, walk 5 feet away, and proceed to watch the screen act like its taking input. It does whatever it wants, I have to turn off screen for a reset. Then it starts again moving between pages, selections in the window...............
This phone worked fine before this update. It was unrooted, strictly stock.

Could your optical joystick be dirty? Try some compressed air to clean it out.

This is related to the software update. The hardware worked with 2.2.

Doesn't mean it hasn't gotten dirty. Try cleaning the trackball before doing something drastic like a factory reset.
