    I知 currently running the latest MIUI but I seem to go through the battery pretty fast.
    I知 thinking of playing with Kernels.
    Which are good and are there any tricks I need to know before installing?

    Before kernel flash, consider syncing fewer accounts less frequently, turn off gps unless needed, and turn screen brightness down some. Battery should noticeably improve.

    OK, make sure you use an aosp kernel in that rom. Read up on them and choose the one that does what you want; some are built for speed, or battery.
