If you're running 2.3.4 that means you accepted the OTA. No current option to downgrade. That may change soon, but for now you're out of luck. Sorry.

If you still have s-off you should be able to get out of 2.3.4. I manually installed the update and got out of it.
Search for my name for more help.

Explain. Did you just flash the 2.2 RUU through HBOOT? Also post the 2.3.4 OTA File you have.

Here is a link to where I found the update. You lose ROOT when you run the update.

Just making sure I understand correctly. If I update, the rooting will be gone and updating will give me an unrootable (for the present time) firmware?

You can also just root 2.3.4 so you can use root apps.
You use an old version of unrevoked to do so.
