Flashing a recovery mod through HBOOT. My experience after almost bricking my D-inc.

Do not flash cockwork mod recovery 3.0.0.7 to a SLCD D-inc. If you already have read below.

You only need this if you have an slcd d-inc and recently updated to clockwork recovery v3.0.0.7
And you are unable to boot system and access SD card from your phone or USB cable to PC. If you just want to flash this older version of clockwork mod recovery, you can use it for that too. Or aman-ra recovery. Good luck ; /

1. Just place either of the files listed below onto your SD card how ever possible.
( I had to use an adapter for the micro SD. Not too many computers have card readers that will take the micro SD.)
2. Now put the SD card back into your Droid incredible.
Hold power and volume down at the same time until you get the hboot screen. (Assuming it was powered down)
3. Now that you are in hboot ensure it says S-Off. (If it doesn't I doubt this will work)
Wait a second for it to initialize SD card and read the update file.
4.Now select yes update and wait for it to do its thing. (Volume up and down)
5. Now select RECOVERY using the volume key and power button and it should boot you to clockwork/aman what ever you chose.

This method worked for me but it may not work for you read this whole thread from start to finish.


FOR RA TO WORK DELETE (AR) FROM THE FILE NAME. (TO STORE THEM IN THE PUBLIC FOLDER I HAD TO RENAME ONE OF THEM.)
