    First Root

I want to root my Incredible so I can free up some space by getting rid of garbage and a slight over clock. I have Android 2.2 on it. I have downloaded the latest version of Unrevoked from their site.

What else do I need? This is my first time.

Ok got the driver installed and that went flawlessly. Settings are configured.

Now I have one question. Before I root the phone is there any backups I need to create to restore to the original state for warranty purposes?

It is always good to make a back up but to do so you have to be rooted. An sbf would be needed to turn the phone back in the event of a warranty issue thing.

There is no handling of SBF files for the Incredible, no need to worry about it.

And you cannot backup the phone prior to rooting. Once you've rooted, you can unroot and restore it to stock in case you need to take it back to Verizon.

I got it successfully rooted with UnRevoked.

Ok so are there a list of OEM applications I can uninstall from Verizon? Id like to get rid of the CarID, Amazon MP3, and a few others.
