About LinkBacksI had rooted my droid inc when I first got it, i got tired of seeing the update but the update would not install. the phone came with 2.2 installed. It rooted fine and functioned proplerly except the update issue. I decided to unroot the phone but I overlooked the fact I was rooting the phone back to 2.1. Now Im stuck with a phone I can not send messages on.
What I would like to know if there is someway I can get back to 2.2 and if someone would be kind enough to guide me. I'd just simplly like to have my phone back to stock 2.2

If on a Windows PC you can run the RUU or you can flash through hboot like you did to unroot.

02-10-2011 03:39 PMI think I have tried the flash through hboot that I found on this forum and there were some errors installing it. I will try the ruu way and let you know.

02-10-2011 04:02 PMIt tells me the RUU can not connect with my android phone. I would choose mount as disk drive when I plug my usb cable in correct?
