Very difficult question. Xscope probably. Stock browser is the worst and xscope so good. Having said that I have five other Apps I cannot live without.

Google maps. It has so many great components built in: search, directions, Places, Navigator, traffic.. and list goes on.

But let day the htc flashlight runs a close second. I use it all the time.

Yeah, Google Maps alone makes Android worth it. If I were forced to use Bing, I'd root before I took off the cellophane from the box. As far as downloaded apps, I would say IMDb gets the most play on my phone. Movie times, theaters by location, and daily rankings of movie and stars. Love it!
