i don't usually like to do things this way, but i just don't have all the info here.
i recall a post either here or on another android forum suggesting the material that comprises the droid incredible screen is unusually robust all on its own and a glue on screen protector is overkill/unneccessary. the post included a video of some guy trying to mess up his screen with a few items, but it turned out just fine...without a protector.
thoughts?

I have personally scratched my screen. It's worth spending the couple of dollars for the added protection. Every incredible that I have come across without the screen protector has been scratched in some way or another. You can get them on eBay for just over 2 or 3 dollars.

Or if you're lazy (like me!) There is invisishield for about $20 Installed at most malls - again, well worth it.

+1 on on buying a screen protector.
I always do and never use a case....too bulky. The ones from Verizon don't glue on, work more like a really strong wall-cling leaving no tackiness or damaging the phone.

I agree. I use big bulky cases and don't use them, but if I went "naked" I would have one.

I use one. I'm glad I do. Key scratches and such are not fun to look at.

Why would you put your phone in your pocket with keys?
I do not use a case or screen protectors. I look at the money I spent on my phone as an investment and actually take care of my phone. I realize accidents happen but some people are down right careless with $500 dollar devices.
