Anyone know of a 3rd party vendor for the 12 pin micro USB cable. i would like to have a second to connect to my work computer and can't seem to find one online. The ones I find are 5 pin models which are not compatible with the HTC proprietary cable.

This is the USB connector that the manual states is standard for the Incredible, "micro-USB (12-pin micro-USB 2.0)"

Will any microusb charger work on this device because I want to buy a cheap car charger and not spend 20+ dollars with verizon

So if I were to get something like this:
Amazon.com: Dc USB Charger: Electronics
It should work fine? It couldn't somehow damage the phone overtime? I don't understand why Verizon has one for 25 bucks when this is 2 XP

Re: Micro or Mini USB for Incredible?
I'm still using the micro usb charger from my storm and it works fine. Any micro usb will work. No worries.

Okay, great! The cord from my old LG Dare was working with it so I thought so!

5 pin would be for standard charging/data/grounding.
12 pins for charging/data/video out/grounding.
Here is the typical pin out for 12 pin.
1 USB VCC +5v
2 USB Data -
3 USB Data +
4 N / C
5 USB GND
6 Left Audio +
7 Sense
8 Audio - (GND)
9 Switch (Talk)
10 Right Audio +
11 Mic +
12 Chassis Ground (GND)
I'm guessing one in there is video out for the Incredible. Perhaps, 7? Although, for giggles companies like to change a few of these around just to keep their cables from crossing over. Go Figure.

Thanks, that's what I figured but wanted assurance that a 5 pin USB micro would download data and not just charge. It's not very clear from the manual that is the case.
