My Incredible 2 keeps turning off completely when it's dropped, or hit against something, or even placed on the table. What's the problem and what should I do to fix it?
It sounds like you drop it frequently... Maybe something got knocked loose and is only making intermittent contact. Probably need to replace the hardware. If you got it from Verizon, you should go to them, as it should still be in warranty. If it is damaged though, it will need to go through insurance if you have it or you would be on your own. Turning off with slight impacts usually is a hardware issue. Could be battery not making contact, but not that likely given the tolerances there. Unless some pocket lint got in there somehow. I'm sorry, but this question makes me sad. Why would you not be more careful with your $600 phone? That being said, did you try opening it up and seeing if the battery is fitting snug? Also, take the battery out and make sure all connections are clear. And shake it, to try and hear if anything is loose. Finally, when it gets fixed, I would recommend an otterbox case.
