Apparent stable 2.1 ROM for Droid

AllDroid.org - View topic - [Rom] Stable 2.1 Rooted ROM for moto DROID-NANDROID required

I'm about to try it out right now.

Well I guess no one is comfortable with doing this?

I've installed it and it has a custom boot animation from the uploader its the Android relieving himself onto an Apple logo.

So far I really like 2.1.. It's fast and it has 5 home screens.. GPS is working but it's a little off. WiFi is also working fine.

The new way of scrolling through apps is awesome.

So far the only bug I've seen is the backlight not working on the hardware keyboard
Also T-CDMA 64 shows up as the carrier.. not Verizon Wirleless .. both on the homescreen and in the notification bar

The new gallery is way better than the old one. It has a completely new interface and it also supports the 'Swipe' feature that so many of us are used to.. no more having to press the arrow keys to browse through your photos

I have it loaded onto my phone. It is definitely stable. I'm going through all of my apps now to see what still works and what doesn't. Hopefully no big hiccups.

I personally don't see a whole ton of differences right off the bat. Animations are slightly different. There are now buttons next to the menu button which select the other screens. There are also now four screens instead of three.

GDE is working. I'll also be testing Panda Home. I know another user was using Home++.

Now instead of saying "Verizon" everywhere, it says "T-CDMA 64".

Can someone post pics or even a video. I'd like to see this in action before installing.

    Bugs I've found so far:

    1. Keyboard backlight doesn't come back on. Someone on alldroid knows how to fix this.

    2. Status LED is non-existant.

    3. Weatherbug elite no longer shows up in market.

    4. Root explorer no longer works.

The new dock clock is awesome. It actually dims now instead of just changing color.

Every home app I've tried works, but none of them keep the new menu, wqhich sucks.

I'll give it a try when the backlight issue is fixed. I would also prefer the Droids boot animation, but I know that's something I can change myself. I think the gps being off doesn't have anything to do with the rom because mine has been acting up since yesterday and I am using stock 2.0.1.
