Apparent stable 2.1 ROM for droid

The dev who released the ROM is working on the GPS and backlight issues, so I would imagine a new ROM will be released shortly.

Okay so the GPS part was bugging me but I noticed when I joined latitude again my GPS was spot on.. perfect. I walked up and down the sidewalk and it showed me moving exactly where I was as it did with 2.0.1 so that is not an issue for me as of now :] anyone else try that out?

So Google Maps works with Latitude but not with Navigation? That is strange.

Everything GPS related seems to work just fine.. including the navigation. It's just before I enabled latitude my location was just a tad bit off. But my gps is working just as it was before I updated to 2.1

If you know what you're doing you can go ahead and try 2.1 for yourself and see the changes and see if your gps is working well after joining latitude. I'm just impatient so I tried it out and it's a nice update. You can always wait til the issues get ironed out or wait for the official OTA update. I just couldn't wait :P If you happen to not like it you could always restore back to your last backup through nandroid

Yeah what LA said, I would like to know too. I'm kinda leaning towards waiting though. Is GPS really broke or is it working?

GPS works for me. my weather widget is spot on... GPS tracker works, Google maps works, navigation works, Latitude works.
