How to fix ADW/LP launcher redraws?

I'm using CM 6.1RC4 w/ ADW Launcher and was wondering if there was a fix for the lag/redraw problems that we see on the home screens and in the launcher menu itself? My phone has been chugging along for a while now.

Theres another post about that. I took the apps that were on my home screens off the sd card and put them on my phone. Use the search. Theres more answers in that post.

If you use ADW or LauncherPro and if after using your browser, email or any other apps for awhile, then if you press the 'HOME' button, if it takes forever to redraw your home screen, and you are sick of that HORRIBLE LAG, then try this: In a terminal,

type su and enter.
Then type echo ro.HOME_APP_ADJ=1 >> /data/local.prop and enter.
Then reboot.
Now evaluate whether or not this fixes your lag.

If you want to undo what this command does, simply remove that toggle from: /data/ local.prop

I've been putting this command in for all of the ROMs I've ever used (and it has always worked). I put it in with CM6.1RC4 and it doesn't seem to help for the first time ever. Maybe RC4 has something else going on since others are starting to ask about it (I'm having ADW redraws with RC4, so I went back to RC3, no redraws now).
