Google news widget works on droid

ok---blond noob question---how do I rename with astro?? or on windows

in windows right click on the file... select rename.

In astro, long press, select edit, then rename.

in windows, I just rename it using .apk and that changes it using the simple rename????

my issue with doing the long press, edit, rename, my keyboard for some reason adds a space and capitalizes the next letter (this being the A for .apk) grrr and I can't figure out a way around this

went to handcent and unchecked the autocap first letter of new sentence to no avail---any other suggestions??? grrr this is making me so mad lol

Did you figure this out yet? You just delete (backspace) the autocapped letter, and type in a lowercase letter.

I just tried it, but think I like better the version I downloaded off of google.com, going to google news. I think I needed to save my website using my Google name and password, and then create an icon. Mine is much more like the google news site that you get on the computer, more colorful and not all black and white like the downloaded app; and you can enlarge the reading screen.

downloaded it directly from the QR code on page 3 of this forum, works well. My only gripe is that it uses the weather channel for its weather info. The Weatherbug app/widget is better for weather...no news though.

thanks works great and found my location right away. looks like towers though no gps icon

Just installed it on my HTC Incredible and it works great. No option to use GPS, but it does grab my location. Thanks!
