Launch custom app when connecting to car dock?

I have rooted and nandroid imaged my Droid and want to get my hands a little dirty hacking to suit my needs. I personally have found that I don't use the CarDock app much when in the car. I would much rather have slacker radio launch when connecting to the dock. Does anyone know what is being called when the dorid senses the magnet for the car dock?

This is very similar to one of my goals for the rooted Droid. I actually use the current application, but would like it to have an icon for music. Ideally that would open another similar menu with icons for slacker, local music, Pandora, and a couple other frequently used music options.

+1 for auto launching pandora. Its the most frequent feature when i put my phone in the doc. However, would it be possible for the home button to still direct to the GPS application?

Just incase i need the gps for something, i want to get to it easy. i can always bring pandora back from the notification bar if i temporarily close it.

I am following up here because this is where I started. It looks like the post on AllDroid is getting some traction. I have been able to make a workable solution for myself using the info below taken from AllDroid.org - View topic - That Stupid Car Dock App.

I was partially correct.

I put the following in AndroidManifest.xml:

I moved the CarDock.apk and CarDock.odex into a "removed" folder and renamed them to CarDock.apk.bak and CarDock.odex.bak. Then I was able to hack this intent filter into the sample code android-launcher-for-sdk - Project Hosting on Google Code provided by Intuitit For Developers (Home++ by Intuitit) the makers of the excellent home replacement Home++ Now when I place the Droid into the car dock it launches the application and works like running an additional set of home screens that are customizable to your hearts content. I don't have any coding experience otherwise I think I would take up a replacement CarDock app project. Perhaps if we approach Intuitit they might look into forking their new simple home replacement Launcher+ into this proposed project.

whoops! I meant Dockawake, and yes, I am. in the most recent update you can also launch any app of your choosing on Docking

I couldn't find it on the market, even scanned the QR from website and still a no go.

Hmmmm, that is so strange.. mine is installed and working perfectly, I also just searched the market and found it immediatly. You're in the u.s. right?
