Restoring
I'm having a problem restoring a ROM. The only other thread I found on this was a different problem than what I'm having. But I'm trying to restore a ROM and it's just sitting there saying "Unpacking data image..." and that's all it's been doing for a while now. Any ideas on what I can do? I hope this doesn't mean that my phone is unusable.

Are you sure that the backup was not corrupt?
Did you wipe the data and cace before the restore/
Is you battery charged to at least 70%
Forgive your enemies it messes with their minds!

I'd say at least around 15 minutes. I'm not sure if it was or not. I tried more than one. I tried the stock ROM and the custom ROM that I had before trying to install that one. I wiped the cache/data and I don't remember how charged my phone was but now it's dead. I can't even boot into recovery. I could last night but I guess since it died over night it won't let me. When I plug it into the wall it starts up but it just sits at the Motorola logo and I can't make it boot into recovery that way either. And when I plug it into the computer it wont even turn on for some reason.

If yourphone died over night then its not going to just turn on. You're going to have to let it sit and charge for a bit. It may be that like has been stated your backup is corrrupt in which case its pretty much unusable. When your phone charges for a bit see if you can flash a different zip file of some sort.

I had it on the charger all night. But it just turns the phone on and when I woke up the phone was still on the M logo and was pretty hot. I don't think it will even charge unless it boots up. Ah, wait. It just turned on so maybe it's charging some

Let it charge some more because as far as I know even if your phone is plugged in it won't charge when its in recovery mode

Alright, I'll let it charge. If need be I'll use my sister's battery and see if that works. Thanks for helping out

True, but a lot of people tend to reply once and then never reply again
