worst comes to worst, try forceclosing your market, and then clear data & Cache.
Hmm - I'm not sure why this might be related, but I just realized last night that the image I installed on my tablet was running Honeycomb 3.0; I updated it to 3.1 and root tools showed up! Unfortunately, they don't run. Even those apps get superuser access, they still behave like the tablet is unlocked. Anyone else out there seen similar problems?

Root Tools is the ultimate tool for unlocked devices. Now that you are rooted you can customize your phone to the max simply with this app.

    Features include:

    App Management:
+ Android 2.2+ Apps to SD
+ Backup or restore any system or data app
+ Remove any system or data app
    -- Batch removal/backup included

    Goodie Add-ons:
+ Install a boot animation from a list of 30 animations
    + Install custom fonts (25+)

    Tweaks & Hacks:
    + Block ads
    + Build property edits
-- Reduce call ring delay time to save battery
-- Set the dalvik vm heap to increase performance
-- Set max events manager and proximity delay
    -- Manage stagefright player
-- Set the wifi scan interval to save battery life
-- Choose your lcd density (like changing the resolution on your PC screen)
-- Turn on or off hard key lights while the screen is on
Edit the build.prop from within the app with your own custom edits
    + Manage cache
-- Clear all data or sdcard cache
-- Move cache to and from the sdcard or phone
    + Free internal memory
+ Clear market search history, zipalign apps, fix permissions, etc.

Root Tools allows you to customize the app and make it your own. You can change the entire look of it through theme settings in the main settings menu. Through settings you can also manage backups, access android hidden testing menu, enable or disable your boot animation, turn on/off camera shutter sounds and configure sysctl.conf to maximize performance for more advanced users.

    Troubleshooting:

If your boot animation doesn't work try clearing your roottools folder on your sdcard (file might have downloaded bad). The problem might also be the install directory. Change it if necessary in settings. If something else isn't working make sure you are rooted and have busybox installed.

Remember: if something isn't working email me first before rating.

If you like the changes then please re-rate. Please don't rate bad for the 15 minute refund policy. Complain to google instead. If something isn't working email me before complaining where I cannot respond to you.

Does this app have that animation where if u press the lock button the turn the screen off instead of just turning off it goes off like those old school tv?

you know what im talking about?

the animation for the screen to turns off acts like one of those old tvs.
Does this app have that? if so under which option / menu?

I don't think this app has the CRT animation. I haven't seen anything like that in the settings. I have seen a zip file for it somewhere though...

Love this app but have one issue I wanted to report and/or see if others had the same problem. I changed my font to "Hattori Hanzo" using Root Tools and everything displays fine except the minus/negative sign (-) when using the calculator. The minus button is blank and when you perform a math problem involving subtraction there is a blank space where the minus sign should be. The operation still calculates correctly but I'm unable to tell if a number is negative or not, which can cause some confusion. I installed a different font and the minus button was visible again and I've also tried this on various ROMs as well as Stock (Droid X) so it seems like the problem lies with the specific Hattori Hanzo font. Any help is sincerely appreciated. Thanks.

Sorry, i know this message was not meant for me, but I am having the same issue trying to run the root animations using"Root Tools". I am running a rooted HTC Evo 4G.

When I click on the animation that I would like to load, it lets me know that its installing animation> granted root permission> animation installed.

Let me know if there any additional steps that I could take or if the Evo 4G is not supported on this tweak.

    Thanks,

This is a good app! But I have a small problem...

I accidentally skipped the backup option before trying on a new boot animation. Now I can't restore my original Galaxy S2 sequence

Is there anyway jimmy can include this in the app update as one of the options?

    TIA!!

You can probably find the original boot animation on XDA or something. All you gotta do is use Root Explorer and copy the bootanimation.zip file to System/media and you'll be set.
