is there anyway to boot the phone with the physical keyboard, im not talking about holding the x and booting to recovery im talking about bypassing the power button alltogether as mine no longer works thanks in advance

open a terminal and type reboot recovery

thanks but i was meaning more for like when the phone is already off, guess thats my bad for not being more clear sorry

Pull battery and unplug from power source. Put battery back in, plug back into power source (hold X when putting the power source back in).

Basically pulling battery = power off. Plugging it into a power source = power on.

Ha, I thought it was an excellent solution. If that button is dead that sucks. Sounds like Cupfulloflol has exactly what you want though.

Returning the phone? I'm hoping mine lasts until summer.
