    Signature length doesn't match EOCD marker?

    When I try to install from the sdcard, (and its not named update.zip.zip) it says:

    -- Install from sdcard...
    Finding update package...
    Opening update package...
    Verifying update package...
    E:signature length doesn't match EOCD marker
    E:signature verifciation failed
    Installation Aborted.

    Anyone know why? I followed the instructions to a t...

    Would you mind giving us a few more details about what it is that you're actually doing? Is this a 2.0.1 install? Is this root? Is this with a custom recovery image?

    I have the same problem. It's for root after combining the superuser with the signed voles update. My phone is already 2.0.1 and the root exploit update (with the proper MD5 checksum and everything) is not working. It says that when we try to flash.

    Yes, this is a root. I am trying to perform it on a Droid with OS version number 2.0.1. I followed these instructions here . As for the recovery image, your're talking about this, correct? If so, no, I am not using a custom recovery image. Thanks!
