    This is one time I am not upgrading to the latest and greatest. The previous version works great with my laptop and my phone so I do not want to mess with it. Specially since I use it only once in a blue moon and do not need any new features.

    The old version works in Windows 7 64 bit, i have run it and is still running it on my computer, just make sure you run it in compatibility mode, and i am sure if you do some reasearch online about it you will find a good guide about how to get it working.

    Yep.. agreed. sort of... I run 4.7 on Win 7 64 bit. Never needed to use compatibilty mode though.


    I searched Google and found nothing.. Where is the changelog for 4.8?

    maybe it just dont like win 7 ultimate i had to root on my xp pro machine

    That could be. I can't answer. I have Win 7 Home Premium (if that's what it's called.) Could be a thing with the Pro style and it's increased security for businesses?

    windows 7 ultimate is wide open but does use a slightly different file system so that might be why i had to use my xp machine
    i mean all ports are wide open while others are only half open
