Need to unroot phone and return it to stock

My Droid 1's touchscreen just broke, and I ordered for a replacement from Verizon. I need to send back my old broken Droid, but it's rooted. It's running Bugless Beast 0.4 with the Bugless Evolution theme. I have ClockworkMod Recovery installed.

It is a pain in the ass working with a phone with a touchscreen that does not work. I constantly have to move my SD card back and forth between old and new phone to put files on it. I've tried putting official Froyo builds on my SD card as Update.zip

When I try installing it, I get an error message. It'll say:
assert failed: apply_patch_check {"/system/app/AccountAndSyncSettings.apk', "a4c6bcaa86470b0b6d0e6a639a695e9370a95640", "2dc380fc5a5bdbcc53f32fdda44d2309ff88d8784")
E: Error in /sdcard/update.zip
(Status 7)
Installation Aborted.

I've also tried returning to stock by using RSD Lite, and it has not had any success either because it can't detect my device. I'm running a Windows 7 64-bit machine. I've ran it as admin, select First Come First serve mode, and ran it under compatibility mode for other Window OSes to try to get it to work, but no luck.

Any help or ideas is greatly appreciated! I need to return my phone soon.

Try to use the control pad to navigate to the ROM manager and
unroot using that.

Follow these steps:

ROM Manager >
Download ROM >
Stock Images >
Verizon Droid 2.2 FRG01B >
UnCheck Superuser 2.2 >
Choose Okay.
