I'm attempting to fix my buddies broken Droid1. Yesterday it was acting buggy and he did what we always do and pulled the battery. after this it no longer went past the bootloader. than he attempted to do a factory reset in the recovery menu but it would only let him into reboot. now it just says corrupt data and won't do anything. I told him to bring it to me and i'll try to reflash it to 2.0.1. I've done it twice to my phone and it was simple. his phone when i connect it to my pc it shows that it's connected to usb but my pc flashes up with an error telling me the motdriv.sy file can't be found and to choose where to look. I've never had this happen and i'm guessing this missing file is the reason his phone won't boot up. is there a way for me to get past this? if i click cancel rds lite doesn't recognize the phone and won't allow me to flash. verizon just told him he needs a new phone but i was trying to save him two hundred. any help would be greatly appreciated.
