    Does Rooting Erase Everything?

    I'm sorry in advance for asking such a simple question but if I root my Droid, will all my settings, applications, and data be deleted? Also, if it does, I did back up all my data using MyBackup Pro (21 Day Trial), would I be able to restore everything after the root?

    By the way, I was going to use the update.zip file to root me Droid, if that makes any difference, from the link below:

    it just gives you root access letting change things and run things that you couldn't before it doesnt erase anything!
