rsd lite not recognizing droid.

i've reinstalled rsd lite several times. reinstalled the drivers several times. running windows 7. it says the drivers were successfully installed but i turn rsd lite on and reboot my phone into the bootloader and it just refuses to recognize my phone.

any help?

Try hitting config>device id options and changing the setting, you will need to restart RSD after.

i tried it but i'm still out of luck. this worked on my other computer at home just fine but on my laptop that i brought with me to school it's not registering at all. and i did the same thing as my other computer but it's still not working.

Why are you using RSD? Trying to root or unroot/back to stock?

If it's the latter try this:

Unroot/Back to Stock (2.2) Without .sbf or RSD Lite - Droid 1 Only

i'm trying to root it. i needed a replacement on my old one so they sent me a new one today and i'm at stock 2.2 and trying to get it rooted.

from what i have heard windows 7 hates rsd. especialy the 64 bit OS. Try running it on a vista or xp 32 bit if you can. It seems to work best with those OS'

Is the phone not showing up at all, in the grid underneath where it says Model?

You are running RSD as Administrator, right?

i'm on 32 bit windows with 32 bit drivers. and it's worked before on my other computer.

and i'm running it as administrator. and the phone does not show up at all in the grid. on my devices and hardware it shows up without any errors. the drivers installed successfully but for some reason it's just not showing up in the rsd lite grid.

Sorry, link 3 in my sig, but it uses RSD

Try putting phone into bootloader then connecting to PC then running RSD.

RSD can be very picky.

Also try rebooting the PC

i think this laptop just hates me. i've tried so many things. i rebooted my pc. rebooted my phone. reinstalled rsd. rebooted again. reinstalled drivers. it just refuses to work
