So I rooted using Easy Root.
All I want is things such as a black notification bar, black widgets, etc..
I don't need all the crazy rom stuff..
Can someone tell me how to do this? I am not tech savvy so please dumb it down.

Without getting to technical, you are going to have to install a custom recovery before you can theme it. Go here:
http://www.droidforums.net/forum/hac...ot-unroot.html
Do box options 1-4 Then you can go to the theme section and pick one, use the OP's instrtions for install, usually update.zip
New To Rooting?
1. What you need to know about rooting
Want to root or to get to stock/unroot?
2. SBF to root 2.1 and to unroot any D1 OS
3. Root Droid 1 - regardless of OS version
4. Root your Thunderbolt

Try Black N Bold by the Bowers, it sounds like exactly what you are looking for
http://www.droidforums.net/forum/dro...thebowers.html
Clockwork is fine, now just find a theme for stock 2.2 you like in the droid themes section and follow the install instructions.
Nothin? That Black and Bold seems nice..
You can try this theme. Not ROM replacement. 928Droid Black Glass. Heres the link.
http://www.droidforums.net/forum/dro...ack-stock.html
You can install themes without using ROM manager. You can try to use Black n Bold but make a backup first because I am not sure if it will work and you could end up in a boot loop and need to restore a backup to get back up and running.
To install using ClockworkMod.......... download the zip file of the rom or theme you want to use. (do not unzip it - put it on the desktop of your computer); Mount your droid (using the usb cord, hook your phone up to the computer); Drag and drop the zip file onto the root of your sd card (do not put it in any folder and again do not unzip it); Unmount your droid.
Boot your phone into recovery (while holding the x key down press and hold the power key). Once in recovery > nandroid > backup (let the phone do its thing but backup everything). Once backup up is done go back to the main screen and go to "install zip from sd card" > choose zip > then choose the one you saved on your sd card and install it. Once done go back to main menu and reboot your phone. Hopefully it will work and you will not be in a bootloop. If for some reason the install does not work > reboot into recovery > wipe data & cache > nandroid > restore > choose your most resent backup and restore it.
