sensor question

Forgive me if this has been answered else where. I am running bb.04 and have noticed since I made the switch to 2.2 (including previous versions of bb) that my prox sensors are not behaving properly during a call. The top left sensor still turns the screen off but the right does not. This has caused me all sorts of problems when trying to hold my droid with my ear/shoulder. I am constantly muting myself with out knowing and even had the occasional hang up. Does anyone know if this issue is fixed with the actual 2.2 release from big red? Or perhaps there is a fix that I can do myself?
