Changing your motorola "M" boot logo tutorial

Well it worked my image was there but it was reversed? Is this because of the reverse bytes if frhed?

kevdog... the only thing i could think of doin to fix that is possibly zip the file and then put it up on the thread but not sure...
gflam... yes that would probably be why, i must not have noticed that happening because my image is symetrical on my boot logo, sorry... i'll have to put that in to make sure the image is mirrored before you edit the bytes... glad it worked so this tutorial is verified... let me know when you fix the mirrored image... i'd like to see ur boot logo

ok, sorry bout that... i did edit the instructions so everything should work properly... so anyone again, let me know if you have a problem or experience a snag and need help, let me know...

Mirrored my image and followed your steps and it worked perfectly thanks a ton here's my image. Although my image has my name on it so i don't know how many people will want to use it but i guess they can just edit that part out. I'll post the sbf file as well in a little as well i guess

I like it... it wouldn't be to hard to edit out... just patch over it with some black... thanks for pretty much testing and helping me work out all the bugs in my tutorial... appreciate it... hopefully people will find this easy to do and won't have to much trouble... i'm offering help, but i don't think i'll b able to create these for people, i do have a life and a job, but since i have my phone on me help is easy, just not making the image, editing it, then editing the sbf file and then making the new sbf file... so, enjoy people, maybe we can get this to become a sticky on the hacking portion of the forums

I wonder what would happen if you didn't reverse the bytes and didn't mirror the image if it would still work. Anyone know if there is a reason that you have to reverse the bytes.

No idea if you have to, that was in the original instructions I found and I didn't wanna change what works ya know...

Yea i know what you mean and it's too much work to test it especially cause i already changed mine but I hope someone does and posts the results

Absolutely, if some one has the time, try it out and let us know, cuz if so ill take out those two steps which would shorten the process just a bit but it'd make it easier

Hey bro, thanks for sharing. I wanted to try this out give some feedback.
I downloaded all the necessary tools, but when I get to step 1-

Steps:
1) Run SBFCodec and open up the sbf file. This will extract all the smg files and header files to a folder on your desktop.

it doesn't extract the smg files and header?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
