Changing your motorola "M" boot logo tutorial

pandroid you should make one for your drop theme. ROM get's a bootanimation, droptheme gets a boot logo

haha. i can definitely make one but it wouldnt be as easy as flashing an update.zip to get it working

nope but if someones gone through the trouble of rooting, ROM'ing, and theming, a simple backup, flash, flash, install backup won't hurt em.

Had a Verizon rep over at the station Friday. We got new BB's with push-to-talk for all the officers and the guy was transferring data from their old cellphones to the BB's. I rebooted my Droid and the guy saw my avatar instead of the Moto 'M' and flipped out. He really wanted to know how to customize the boot logo for his Droid. I told him Google was his friend.

How about this? I added the Droid eye to the O and centered everything. Download here if you're still interested. I made one for Chevy's SimplyStunning 4.7 that I have been using, but I may even go to this one now.

Did you still have your family crest one loaded? Yeah everytime i go into verizon they always try to sell me the x or the 2 lol, I havnt been over there lately but im sure they would flip out here too :P

So I finally gave it a shot, and besides my image being upside down (not backwards) a bit off center and the screen being completely white at the top and bottom everything went fine...I was hoping for a completely black screen with my image right in the middle, I am sure I am missing something

Ok as for the image being upside down you flipped it instead of mirrored it [left to right] but as far as the screen being white idk what happened there because everyone that i and other people have made the screen color has matched the by color of your logo the only thing i can think of is to makesure the entire logo by is black but other than that I'm not sure.
