I'm currently running BB .4 and Chevy's 1.1 MV Kernel. I love the responsiveness but the CPU at times runs fairly warm and I'm wondering if anyone else knew of a at least 1GHz Kernel that doesn't seem to run as hot. Ideas anyone?

Try Chevy's ultra low voltage kernel or just low voltage kernel. P3's kernel LV kernel also runs pretty cool for me

+1 for P3's LV (I'm using 1.0ghz). Runs cool for me unless I'm using nav in the sun while charging.
I had my BBv0.4 running at 1000 MHZ on ChevyNo1's ULV for about 30 minutes straight yesterday without it going above 105F battery temp.

I'll give it to you straight partner; I don't need a metaphor.
Thanks guys. I'll try the ULV 1.1Ghz and see what happens. I'll keep you posted.
Try a few out man.
When I first rooted everyone on the forum raved about Chevy's so I tried out a bunch of his ULV and LV, and they both ran hot as hell for me. Like above 100 all the time.
I switched to P3 kernels and now I rarely go above 100 and I'm running 1.2ghz.
Moral of the story: Try different kernels, just cause one is ballin on someones phone doesnt mean it will be good on yours. There is no end-all be-all kernel or else we all would be using it![]()
Goodbye Droid...Hello Nexus!!!!
Thanks homie. Just tried the P3 1.25 Kernel and I'm hardly going over 100F as well plus I'm noticing a huge speed difference between the Chevy 1.2 and P3 1.2 Kernels. I'd say I'm ballin' playa. THUG LIFE!!!!Keep it real yo!
Glad I could help ya out man, enjoy it!
