    Might be Dumb Question but PLEASE help

    I installed Sapphire 0.8.4 and need to get the google apps installed as well

    When I download the google apps from his site, do I rename them to update.zip and install it to my phone just like i did the rom? or do i not rename it?

    Also - is this the same exact way I would install a theme as well?

    I feel like if i rename everything update.zip its going to install that over my sapphire .8.4 rom?

    make sense?

    yes rename it to update.zip

    no you wont over write the rom
    the update.zip will have different files in it

    The ROM, the Google app pack, theme, and kernel will all install with the update.zip method. I usually nandriod backup between flashing the ROM, Theme, and kernel. Anyone of the three can cause a boot loop, and then you can change themes or kernels without having to reflash the rom.
