then maybe I am wondering how do I mount my SD card so that I can move it there?
Ok I do that then, is a window supposed to pop up on my computer? Or where to I put the update.zip file?
- The cord connects usb computer port to phone.
- The notification bar on phone lets you mount the card
- The SDcard should now be a drive on your computer.
- It may be pop-up or you can go to window's explorer (my computer) and find the drive.
You'd mount it also to get pictures off the card or music onto it.

If you apply a rom or theme - backup first!
If you don't know how to backup...Stop until you do.
hint: I name my backups like this: sg6.0_20100428 or ss4.2_20100626 to easily find them later. rom and date.

I cant find the driver, IDK what Im doing wrong.
Are you looking for a driver to mount your phone to the PC or looking for the drive that shows up when you plug your phone into your pc?
If you are up to the point where you have installed RSD Lite and gotten SPRecovery installed then your computer should be recognizing your phone.
You should be able to look in window's explorer and see the phone plugged in as one of the drives.
You also could take the card out of the phone and plug it into your computer and move it that way.
Finally you also could download the update.zip file to your phone directly from the web. Then use Astro to move it and rename it.

Yeah once you tap the notification to "mount", your computer should recognize the sdcard as a standard USBMass device.
Now, sometimes, there may be a delay. Open your My Computer... you may see "Removable disk" there but at first it may say "insert a disk..." when you click it. Just leave that box up if that happens, eventually it will kick in.
You don't need any special driver. If it won't work after 30 seconds or so, after you have told the phone to mount the drive, your computer may be having issues.
