Rooted!

I rooted my droid this morning. I'm now running 2.2 with bugless beast. I didn't change kernals or themes yet, but it is fast and smooth as it is. Thanks to the guys that put this info out and thanks to the developers. This is why I got the droid instead of the incredible or the droid x.

Welcome to the Dark Side. +1 for Chevy's kernel and setCPU. Temp monitor is a decent app for cpu temps.

Thanks guys. I will be trying some of those kernals soon. I want to run this for a couple of days first. I'm still learning the phone since I got it Tuesday. I would have waited to root but I wanted to make sure I did it before the ota update.

Congrats and welcome! I rooted just last month and will never look back. You will enjoy all the unleashed possibilities.

Experiment with the different ROMS and themes and you will find favorites.

But, always remember to back up before hand! It is a life saver.
