LauncherPro Icons on Home Screen

Hey, I wanna use the LauncherPro Icons on the home screen, not just on the shortcut bar. What's the best way to go about doing this?

I've tried extracting the images from the launcherpro.apk, and putting them on the SDcard and using bettercut, but can't seem to be able to find them.

edit: Even when I put the .pngs in the gallery folder, they don't show up there....

Not sure if I understand what you want to do. You want to use the icons LauncherPro came with for other icons? Like are you pushing these PNGs or using some app to apply them to programs? Make sure there is not a "*.nomedia" file in the same folder.

Yes, that's exactly what I want to do.

I was attempting to use bettercut to apply them. There's no "*.nomedia" in the same folder.

Weird that they suddenly showed up in the gallery. The only thing I did was use the camera....

The gallery might just wanted to refresh. Sometimes closing an app or just rebooting is the best way to really test things out in this case. Now, go to town!

If you move your media files around the gallery doesn't automatically pick them up. There are index files that need to be built before they appear. These indexes are automatically refreshed when you power on your phone.

I'd suggest downloading a free app called SDrescan and running it whenever you move media around. It forces a rebuild of the index without the need for a reboot.

I recently downloaded LauncherPro and I wanted to change my Icons as well. But I tried following what you were talking about, but I am new to the Droid and I am so confused. Please Help?!?!

Kallen, this is what i did.

Download the launcherpro.apk file to my computer.
Open with 7zip.
Browse to the folder with the icons in. I forget exactly where it is. Framework/res/drawable-hdpi or something.
Copy this folder to my desktop and rename launcherproicons
Connect droid to computer and copy icon folder to sdcard
Go to settings > applications > manage applications > launcherpro. And clear defaults.
Go to home screen using standard launcher and create a shortcut on this homescreen.
Download and install bettercut and select edit shortcut > change icon. Browse to the icon you want to use and select it. The shortcut will then appear on your launcherpro homescreen. If you dont create the shortcut on the stock launcher homescreen you can't edit it and have it on launcherpro for some reason.
