    Remove battery icon from status bar?

    Does anyone know how to completely remove the battery icon from the status bar in Froyo 2.2? - as in the same way that you can remove the clock with xUltimate. I'm running Ultimate Droid 3.0

    Just deleting the framework images leaves the blank space where the icon used to be. I want to eliminate the blank space so that the signal icon, wifi icon, etc.. will shift to the right. Is this possible? Would the services.jar need to be edited, if so what do you change?
