changing droid custom boot animation?

i am kinda new to this stuff but i was wondering if i could put my name in the droids boot animation using astro and picsay pro. i was able to find the images in picsay using astro and then couldnt i take one of the images change it with picsay then delete the old image and put in the new one with the same name. does astro have the ability to delete and add system content? i have root explorer but i would prefer to use astro(its easyer)
