What is your data speed when tethering w/ Droid?

Hello all, I have been reading all the various posts here about how to officially/unofficially tether through your Droid. I have searched and while several users are reporting success I am not seeing what the speed results are. I am considering getting a Droid and just using the tether feature and cancel out my $60 VZ netbook plan I currently have to help justify the cost of switching my $80 unlimited T-Mobile family plan over to the more expensive but better VZ network.

So, my question is what setup are you using and what speed are you getting through the tether? Example: Pdanet connected to winXP via USB and getting 1mb speed or Proxoid or whatever other options and whatever other OS, like win7/OSX/etc.

I specifically use WinXP for work so that would be great to know and Win7/OSX for home so curious about those as well. I have previously used WiFi PdaNet on a jailbroken iPhone and loved it but was limited by T-Mobile Edge speeds so that is why I ended up with the VZ netbook which is by far the best coverage/speed I have used yet.

EDIT: By the time I registered and finished posting this y0manda had uploaded a speedtest to the other tethering thread... please still show me your results and what setup you are using. I need to confirm this will meet my needs so I can cancel my netbook to get the Droid Thanks!!

I'm using Pdanet and get about 2200 kbps for download speed and about 900 for upload speed for tethering.

With wifi, I got up at 4000 kbps download speed before.

Using Pdanet app was a quick and easy setup. I can use my via bluetooth or usb. I generally use the usb setup for tethering with my laptop.

I'm currently running Windows 7.

I'm using Easy Tether (no root) on my Razr Maxx. Posted image is running the speed test from my Windows 7 laptop while tethered.

my sig has by best download speed. when i tether to the ipad, i usually get the best results, around 13mbs-15mbs. i have seen it up to 20mbs on the ipad before. my worse connect speed is wifi tether to my destop via wireless adapter card, and normally i get around 3mbs. i think the best i ever saw it was 12mbs, (i think). anything else i tether to, the lowest i can remember is around 8mbs.
